Amber Pacific is a pop punk band that formed in 2002 as a trio of high school juniors who performed locally in their Federal Way hometown, near Seattle, just for kicks under the name Follow Through. They participated on the Warped Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, and toured with Matchbook Romance on the Sub City Take Action Tour in spring of 2006. Ben Harper (originally in Yellowcard) joined Amber Pacific and joined the recording of their third studio album. Recording started 16th October 2006; Harper left the band before the end of the year. The band released their third album, Truth in Sincerity, in May 2007. The first song released as a single from the album was entitled "Fall Back Into My Life" and appears on the TMNT soundtrack. Recently, lead vocalist Matt Young left Amber Pacific, stating the reason for leaving as wanting to "find [his] place in life, in this very place and time... coming to the conclusion that [his] place is no longer as a member of Amber Pacific." The band has also stated that they fully support Matt's decision to pursue other opportunities in life and that he will be with the band on all upcoming shows that have been booked. They have also been busy writing new songs and thus plan to continue on as a band. MembersCurrent
